Benjamin's Cross Country Sense Poem

I can see bright, green grass underneath my feet. I can hear my heart beating like an elephant stamping. I can feel my body getting tired and sore. I can smell my sweat dribbling down my face. I can taste the saliva drying up in my mouth. By Benjamin

Joseph's Cross Country Sense Poem

I can see cars zooming past me as I run up Hillcrest Ave. I can hear kids and parents cheering for me and encouraging me to go faster. I can feel my legs getting slower and slower. I can smell the fresh air reminding me of nature. I can taste the hot sweat sliding down from my head. By Joseph

Nati's Brain Hook

I couldn't believe my eyes, there in front of me were five real life brains! Last Thursday Room 9 went to the Sunnybrae hall to learn new things about all sorts of brains. Neuroscientists came for a visit to tell us about humans and animal brains and how they worked. By Nati

Fiona's Brain Hook

We have been working on hooks to get people interested in reading about our experience seeing brains. The hall was silent while Room 9 walked along the hallway. A few seconds later…I saw a real life human brain! By Fiona
